Maxtract contains 500mg of L-Glutamine per 2 capsule dose.  An amino acid known to support the repair and regeneration of the epithelial cells lining the gastrointestinal tract.

The gastrointestinal mucosal barrier, which is a component of the innate immune system, is considered one of the bodies first line of defences as it provides a barrier between the external and internal environment. A disturbance in the integrity (tight junctions) of the intestinal epithelium could lead to larger particles of food, bacteria and toxins passing through into the bloodstream.  Here the immune system reacts to these escapees as foreign bodies - a condition known as 'leaky gut' and associated with conditions such as ulcerative colitis, chron's, coeliac disease, IBS, food intollerances, infections etc

MAXTRACT also includes Vitamin A, Zinc, Calcium and other specific nutrients important for a health gastrointestinal tract.
