The
more I discover about the connection between diet and health, the more
obvious it becomes that you will only be able to enjoy long term robust
health if your body is able to digest nutrients from food efficiently
and then eliminate waste matter, not required by the body, effectively.
In other words your digestive system, from top to bottom, is the
central core of your body and it must perform efficiently if you are to
maintain long term good health. In fact, if you really think about it,
your whole body is wrapped around your digestive tract and so it is
hardly surprising that its role is absolutely crucial to our existence.
This site is dedicated to providing tips and information on how to keep your bowels healthy in as natural a way as possible.
Much can be done with your diet. In fact if we all ate perfect
fresh food all the time with sufficient levels of nutrients,
antioxidants and fibre, then we would probably have healthy bowels and
none of the diseases that are prevalent in today’s western society. I
emphasise western society because rural Africans for example, who eat
basic, crop foods and consume more than 55grams of fibre per day,
rarely get bowel problems.
In developed societies, our levels of fibre have dropped to
levels below 14grams per day which is clearly not sufficient. In the
United States, the authorities are recommending that we increase our
levels of fibre (in particular soluble fibre) to 35g per day to not
only help keep your bowels healthy but also to help prevent type 2
diabetes and help keep cholesterol levels at healthy levels.
So, what is good for the bowels is often good for other parts of your
body as well. To my mind, any health programme should look at the
bowels first. If you can get this right, then other aspects of your
health should fall into place.
3 Ingredients Found To Keep Bowels Healthy
As
those of you who read my booklet ‘Passionate About Bowel Health’ will
know, over 10 years ago, I became particularly interested in bowel
health because of my suffering with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. It took
me 3 long years of experimenting with natural ingredients to try and
find a combination that could form the basis of an on-going bowel
health programme.
My research resulted in the discovery of 3 natural food
ingredients which are 100% safe. Quite simply, I regard these 3
ingredients as the best food for the bowels. They formed the basis of
the Lepicol Original Formulation which was launched in 1999. If you
want to know more about the background to this development, please
request a copy of my booklet. You can do this by using our freephone
0500 127249.
What started off as a personal quest is now taken regularly by 60,000 people across 21 countries around the world.
I believe that the Lepicol Original Formulation, taken
regularly, can form the basis of your bowel health programme. All of
the ingredients are natural and stay in the digestive tract. In other
words they do not even enter the bloodstream.
Since the launch of this product I have made it my mission to keep
abreast of new studies that relate to our diets and bowel health.
Happily the number of studies are increasing as there is becoming wider
acceptance that what we eat can influence our health. This is now
reflected in our small, but growing range of products.
It is reckoned that 85% of bowel disease is preventable. This is good
news for those of us who are concerned about our bowel health because
it shows that we can actually have a direct impact on our health by
what we eat and drink and how we live our lives.
